San Luis, established in 1620, cherishes our coffee tradition in the heart of Honduras. With its cobblestone streets and adobe houses, the village breathes the essence of our Panareima bean, where time-honored cultivation blends seamlessly with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. A visit to San Luis is a journey through the very soul of coffee, a place where history and flavor converge in each delightful sip.

The journey of a bag of coffee beans from San Luis in Honduras to The Netherlands is a remarkable story of globalization and interconnectedness.

It begins in the lush coffee plantations of San Luis, where farmers meticulously handpick the ripest coffee cherries. Once harvested, the cherries are processed to extract the precious beans, which are then carefully dried under the tropical sun.

From there, the beans start their long journey by being packed into sturdy burlap bags and loaded onto trucks. These trucks transport the bags to the bustling port of Puerto Cortes, where the beans are carefully loaded onto cargo ships destined for European ports.

Finally, after several weeks of sea travel, the bags of coffee beans arrive in The Netherlands, ready to be roasted, ground, and brewed into the rich, aromatic beverage enjoyed by coffee lovers across the country.
